IMAGINE PEACE TOWER is powered by hot natural spring water: geothermal energy

Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant by arnitr.
The electricity for the light is generated entirely naturally-
geothermally – from hot water -
at the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant.
This was one of the reasons for situating the artwork in Iceland.

This is a perfect symbol of John’s beautiful soul. It makes me so happy to know that John’s positive message is still alive and that this tower will always be there to remind us of his dream of peace. Thank you, Yoko.

This clarifies much of which I questioned regarding this magnificent undertaking. I still do not understand the technological innovations in the light/beam; What elements, optics, etc., are incorpotated. What the estimated projected distance of travel, etc., but that.s post and parcel of its awe-inspiring illuminance. Curiosity is always a motivator. Respectfully, Adam Smith
